Inaugural Opening Lecture of the 2021/22 academic year at ETSIIT, given by Professor D. Óscar Cordón

The solemn opening ceremony of the academic year 2021 – 2022 of the E.T.S. de Ingenierías Informática y de Telecomunicación, counts in this edition with a lecture on artificial intelligence applied to forensic anthropology and human identification. The inaugural lecture will be given by Professor Óscar Cordón, Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the UGR (researcher on the Stanford list of most influential researchers). In addition, ETSIIT medals will be awarded to members of the Center, in recognition of their career and academic work.

The talk entitled “Artificial Intelligence for Forensic Anthropology and Human Identification” covers nearly 16 years of research by Professor Cordón and his team. The conference could be followed from the Center’s Assembly Hall, as well as by videoconference.
