Salvador García obtained his Bachelor’s and Doctoral degrees in Computer Science from the University of Granada, Granada, Spain, in 2004 and 2008, respectively.
He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Granada. He has published more than 50 articles in international journals and is co-author of the book Data Preprocessing in Data Mining (Springer).
His current research interests include data mining, data reduction, data learning, semi-supervised learning, and statistical inference.
Dr. García received the Highly Cited Researcher Award from Thomson Reuters in the field of Computer Science from 2014 to 2018. He is currently co-editor-in-chief of the journal Progress in Artificial Intelligence (Springer) and serves as associate editor for journals such as Information Fusion, AI Communications, and Swarm and Evolutionary Computation.
