Rosa M. Rodríguez is an Engineer and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Jaén in 2008 and 2013 respectively.

She currently has a Ramón y Cajal contract with the University of Jaén, belongs to the research group Intelligent Systems Based on Fuzzy Decision Analysis (TIC 206) and works in the area of decision making and computation with words. She enjoyed a Research Staff Training grant associated with a Excellence Project at the University of Jaén to pursue the PhD in which she obtained the extraordinary PhD prize (awarded in 2017). She has enjoyed a one-year postdoctoral contract at the Technological University of Vienna, (Austria), a Juan de la Cierva Training and Juan de la Cierva Incorporation contract of two years each at the University of Granada.

He obtained the award for the best PhD student paper at the International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics held in Tianjin (China) in 2013 and has received the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems Outstanding Paper Award 2012 (delivered in 2015).

She is an Assistant Editor for International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, as well as an Associate Editor for International Journal of Fuzzy Systems and Journal of Intelligent and Fuzzy Systems.

Indicate that she has been ranked as Highly Cited Researcher 2019 and 2020, according to the Essential Science Indicators of the Web of Science.
